I love a lot of asian movies, mostly HK cinema ones but also some Japanese ones...

Young and Dangerous series
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
Hero
Brother
The Stormriders
Infernal Affairs
Battle Royale
The Warrior

Basically anything with Ekin Cheng or Tony Leung to be honest - Ekin is just damn cool, while Tony is a kick ass actor.

From western films, my favourites are...

LOTR Trilogy
Resident Evil (no idea why, I just really like it)
Heat
Leon
Ronin
Casino
The Matrix (both sequels are ok, but nothing as special)

I almost always enjoy watching films, I very very rarely walk away from a film without gleaming at least some entertainment from it.

How could I forget! A few from Europe...

Run Lola Run (very original)
Taxi series (insane car chases, and some funny as hell humour to boot!)
Brotherhood of the Wolf (loads of the weapons from Soul Calibur put into a film!)

ReNo- have you ever seen The Princess and the Warrior? It's by the same people who did Run Lola Run (which is damn good, too). I went in not knowing much about it, and it just mostly confused me... The scene in the hospital with her father is just too creepy for words... (Watch it, you'll know...) [addsig]
