TS is okay, though it's pretty slow compared to Action Half-Life imo. Also, while the mod and team are nice enough, the community is like a llama convention. Something about it seems to appeal to CS players I guess ![]()

You think TS is slow? I never got into AHL for real but I must say that a good game of TS can be amazingly fast. The community is seriously HORRIBLE, when 2.0 came out all the matrix loving 12 year olds came to play TS. Noone use stunts anymore, on a public server its like CS-deathmatch. If you play on NashCorp you get to play with the old guys with style, if a idiot joins he aint got a chance. Also, you get to play the best maps. *COUGHts_firm,ts_debrisCOUGH* ![]()

Correction: He is the nicest, and you aren't exactly a runner up.
I don't care that you have questions like these, but you don't bother to at all read the rules of this forum or do any research of your own before posting.

the player speed in AHL is higher than HL default. AHL is 300, whereas HL default = 270. I think TS is 270 as well.
And the dives in AHL are a good bit faster and farther.
I this TS is a very well-made mod, though, and their coders have done some great special effects and stuff with the HL engine. I'm just used to AHL's gameplay and dives, though.

The speed and distance of your dives depends on how much equipment you're carrying.
And I agree with Cassius, Vash is a nice guy.

and also, it matters on how high/low your mouse is pointing (lower means shorter dive / higher means longer)
There are several combos you can do by just pointing up and down, so try it out before you think all you can do are lame short dives

ah, looking up does make a noticable difference in how far you dive. even with no guns, though, it's all a bit slower than AHL. but to each their own. I'm an old school AHL player, so it would take a lot to take me from my favorite mod
.

I played AHL a very long time ago, back when certain things were still buggy, only 20 servers played it, and I had a 56k connection.
I gotta try that mod out sometime, seeing as it was the first mod to feature diving and stunts. Or was that Half Life Opera?

I heard that some MOD had really awsome tricks, like one where you were surrounded by a paper tornado, then disapperd.
I think it might've been opera. (But didnt work ingame)
