Heh, I still haven't finished half the maps I started for the last comp yet
As long as its not a sci-fi themed competition i'd probably be interested...

I vote castles! I can do castles...
Seriously though, if there is another comp, pick a good theme again that'll result in some maps different from the norm. The last two comps have done a good job of this and prompted the release of some very unique maps in terms of theme and appearance ![]()

(Castle kick ass but they scream Wolfenstien way too much lol
not that there's anything wrong with that)
Anyway, I'd enter (and get thruoughly beaten) but I have no time durring the term, and Spring Break is only a week long, however, Next term I wont have Programming Systems (I'm passing it this time goddammit). Anyway, Woods are cool . . . if done right, but what mod would it be for? Or Is it for HL? (Not saying there is a competition, but if there were one)
A Sven competition would be cool too (who can make the best coop map of sorts, which means there could be loading, right?)
Anyway, damn, I really wish I had time. [addsig]

| What about wooded areas (Forest of sorts)? |
We do want to be able to play these maps afterwards.. In my experience, making a full outdoor map (that isnt the Black Mesa desert themed) especially a forest would be quite hard..

If you can design a forest that is fun to play in, then you'd definatly win it. Also, I didn't say forest only, there could be some houses and such as well, but some sort of wooded area should be in the map was what I was saying. If done right, it makes for amazing game play, however, few have achieved it, so, it would also make for a good compitition to see who can make the funnest forest themed map. [addsig]
