At last I have my chance at hand to attend QuakeCon 2009! It's taking place in Grapevine Texas, USA during August 13-16. The convention itself is free, but you have to register! I think there are about 7,000 people signed up so far! Are there any SnarkPit members planning to attend?
Oh, BTW, QuakeCon is one of the largest videogame LAN conventions in the world and is headed by ID (makers of Doom). They give away a bunch of free stuff and have tournaments for a lot of Valve games. I'm hoping I can get in on the frenzy! I'll be sure to take pictures!

Well, it looks like I'll be heading off for QuakeCon tomorrow! And because I understand that once I get there, trying to get any kind of internet connection will be next to impossible considering everyone there is locked to the same network, I probably will be missing any news on the SnarkPit while I'm away.
I've got my new camera in and am just finishing up packing for the 8 hour road trip to get there. I'll be gone for 5 days (until August 16) so you guys better behave yourselves!
I'll be sure to take plenty of pictures!
-Take care all

Awesome stuff! Have a good time there. I can smell teh recycled armpit-pizza breath-machine fan air from here. Perfect.
I doubt that hl2dm will have rep there but a report on that would be appreciated by the community
