2. Diablo series
3. Commandos series

I have been inactive for quite a while though...

1. Gothic 2 (Pretty obvious since that's the reason you started this thread smiley)

3. Uhm... Probably The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind

Well I'm gonna hit my oldies first
I am also going by system[the ones I own], because I don't find them inter-comparable

SNES: 1. Secret of Mana 2. Chrono Trigger, 3. Mario RPG, Mario All-Stars
N64: 1. Super Smash Bro's 2. Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3. Mario Party
PS(1/2): 1. Final Fantasy 7 2. Star Ocean 3. FIFA '04
PC: 1. Team Fortress 2 2. Left 4 Dead 3. Call of Duty 4

the PC games aren't wholly the ones I appreciate the most, simply the ones I enjoy playing the most

Well, I decided to answer this question with "Deus Ex" from now on.

Although I do feel tempted to list a good dozen under appreciated gems I absolutely adore... and then the popular games I agree with being in every hall of fame and... arrr, damn it:

PC: Archimedean Dynasty, System Shock 2, Thief, Half-life (duh!), Portal, Defcon, XCom, Alpha Centauri, Command & Conquer, All classic Lucas Arts Adventures

SNES: Terranigma, Earthbound, Live a Live, Star Fox, Secret of Evermore

N64: Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Zelda Ocarina of Time (duh again)

Great, now I even feel like having missed one. smiley

Did you say Thief? Cool, It's my brothers favorite game of all time, and now I just started playing it. I'm currently on the fourth level on Hard difficulty. Please don't spoil anything now that I said I'm playing Thief ^^

Wow, I am really behind, I haven't heard of half of those games mentioned! But this is great, I always wanted to know of really good games worth playing. I might just end up getting some of those games mentioned to try them out...after I get settled at university of course smiley

When I was very young my absolute favourite game used to be Death Rally.. Don't know if anyone's heard of it, but it was the most addictive and fun to play.

How does one go about measuring "Best" or "Favorite?

As for most played non-stop, I'd have to say Civ II. Longest on my hard drive? HL 1.
Most replayed Unreal II. Most long for sequel Duke Nukem and Fallout.

I have a motion sickness issue with FPS games. I found however that the unreal games play so much smoother that I can motivate myself to play them through to the end. So for that reason, I have played the unreal games most, in replay.

I have all FPS games released from 1997 or so till two years ago. Since then, I have been ill motivated to buy games due to my lack of an internet connection.

So yea, I have Unreal 1.
