The quickest way to fix it (it seems) is to manually remove your snarkpit.net cookies, then relogin.
If you are getting a password error, reset your password.

I have located a problem, though I am not sure how I can fix it. Looks like a problem with email in the database.

Glad it worked, Muhnay, I restored yours last night. There was some kind of problem with peoples registered email addresses not being present - a backup has been restored and the problem should now be fixed (thanks, larchy!)

Sounds like you have a renew your password script in there and every so many months it kicks on and instead of notifying the member it just locks out the account.

Oddly, some of the database info was no longer present or altered. This included user email addresses and some data pertaining to logins (possibly password hashes too - so passwords may need resetting).
I've hopefully restored all missing/altered data from local backups. Anyone with a recently created account should use the contact page if they continue to have a problem logging in.
After having a chance to look through the logs it seems the server got rebooted sometime on Sunday. No idea if this has anything to do with the issues, but it does coincide with Gwil's original post. Maybe there was some sort of outage.

Indeed, nicely handled gents. Couldn't log in yesterday but all up and running again now, no need to reset the passwords or anything.
