Last map I made was "Corridors"

But yeah I miss playing Half-Life, unfortunately I do not have a desk which I can game on at the moment and even then, it would feel strange firing up the old H.L. 2 again. I haven't heard shit about H.L. 2 in ages either. Ep 3 out yet? Black Mesa: Source? What? Haha.

Hmm, I played every Half-Life game about 6-7 times on average. The other day I wanted to play L4D because I never actually got through all of it. Logging into Steam, there was an error that couldn't log me in, so I thought "hmm, nothing seems to be working, I'll just reinstall Steam........"
Bad decision. I almost got a heart attack when I realised that steam was deleted and so were the games. Got no time to reinstall things now.
Yeah I'd love to get back to mapping, just have this problem with my graphics card that freezes my computer quite often, especially when mapping. I started a thread to see if we can solve the problem together, but was caught by my end of year exams, so I'll have to put that issue on hold until the 18th November, it's when the exams finish!!!!!

Beyond the compilation map which I get to every now and then (once or twice every two weeks for about 2-6 hour sessions) I haven't been mapping anything. Sure I've got plans for projects I've yet to finish. As soon as the compilation map is finished, I'd like to fix the bugs from my portal map and finally make that available on the internet again, and then either build a L4D map (or wait until the L4D2 SDK get's released instead) OR finish up my short single player map for HL2 that is suppose to finish and capitalize on finger's "So Much for Freeman" map pack (winner of the SnarkPit "Map from Base" competition we had a few years back.) And make that available on the Internets. I have big plans for that one actually. About half of it is mapped-out sitting idle while I wait until I can get to it in the personal project pipe-line.
However, My plans for next quarter-semester (because I have no income while attending college) is to teach personal level-design lessons. I've been mapping now for almost 7 years and keep up with the new updates (always reading the official mapping and programming mailing lists from Valve) and feel pretty confident in writing out a curriculum to teach someone interested in Source Engine level design. You know, post fliers around campus and charge by the hour. Have like a short-term lesson plan, and a long-term one for those that decide to stick with it. A once-a-week thing where they'll have a homework lesson and maybe a textbook. (thinking about using this one: Half-Life 2 Mods for Dummies. I don't have a copy for myself yet, but I've browsed through it at bookstores before, and was able to name everything about whatever the pages were referring to. It would make for a nice guide.
Other than that, I'd also like to finish my Portfolio website after the compilation map is finished too. (That's the website the image in my signature links to). The best way to see all my projects is just to watch the flash banner at the top of every page on my site; it'll fade into different shots of each of my projects
So yea, to sum it up: I haven't been mapping much lately due to school, but have plenty of projects to get to, so I'm in no way looking for something to map; I've got plenty of ideas, just no time

You said it beautifully Riven, school(even though yours is at University level and is 20 times harder) is so time consuming, the last time I mapped properly for 4 hours straight was about 5-6 years ago when I didn't have responsibilities. 18th November is around the corner though, I cannot wait!!!!!!!!

Well, it says with this post I only have 997 on my counter (and I refreshed my snarkmark page), so that's weird, maybe the counters are different from individual users?
nevertheless, partay! ...
