I said 3 as in "snarkmarks are pointless anyway". Since I view the site in condensed mode now, I don't see things like avatars or snarkmarks. For all I know you could all have large flashing banners that say "GREG SUX!" and horrible comments in your signatures, and nobody would be the wiser.

most likely its a one at a time deal.. at least thats how i would set it up..

let this one run out.. i imagine lep has a reasonable time frame in mind

my take/interpretation of the responses.

1) yes - this site benefits with the current system.
2) no - snarkmarks should be a reward for contributions, not random posts.
3) who cares - the pit doesn't benefit from snarkmarks one way or the other.
4) snarkmarks? - what are snarkmarks?
5) undecided - never gave it any thought really, its just so unimportant that i don't care.
6) this poll sucks - if snarkmarks meant something, so would this poll.

I take orphs side on this new argument. 3- Not caring, shows that they don't really mind wether or not the snarkmarks count, and thus seeing as the poll is getting rid of snarkmarks they count more towards no. If the poll was saying we should have snarkmarks then thats a different question. Though I'd say that a "Don't care" is only worth bout 1/2 a no vote... but its definitely more negative than positive.

As usual I probably made no sense...

i am away almost as much as i am here, due to my job, but some think i am here waaaay to often in spite of that fact.

i have been hatefully referred to as snarkpits "forum whore" ... of all the things i have endured, that is one of the hardest to deal with... tis why i try so hard to get the forum post counts hidden.. i do not plan on posting less often, but also think my time here should not be measured in total posts either.. i feel i have dedicated more to the snarkpit than a title like that warrants.

Just noticed a random bug...

Look at the actual poll post- there are no snarkmarks/member number/user online/offline on it.

Oh, and here was my understanding of the poll and it's options:

1 = Yes, I think they should be added.
2 = No, I don't think they should be added.
3 = It really doesn't make a difference to me either way.
4 = I don't know what a snarkmark is, so I can't make a decision either way.
5 = I can see the system benefiting/suffering from adding or removing it, but I don't know which would be best.
6 = This is a dumb question to ask, and I will put a mark here to be both clever, witty, and unhelpful all at the same time.

So they all have different meanings... and not all are negative...
