I tried sending a PM yesterday and it still shows my messages in the outbox. (Eventually one sent but there are two others that have still not sent) Any ideas why they're not sending? (The usernames are correct) Thanks.

It only leaves your outbox after the recipient reads it. Thats probably why you sent your PM to me twice

Yeah, the private messages only use email terminology, they don't actually function like one. The information is all stored in a database, so the only difference between it waiting to leave and it being sent is if the recipient has actually read it.
It might make sense in the future to change the terms so it's more clear ...

I was about to make a topic about this as well. I've sent some PM's to sgtfly, but most of the time he only read and replied to the last one. And I don't think it's something for him to just delete other PM's.
There are about 3 PM's that were supposed to go to him, still in my outbox.

The PM system used to have a prominent place where you couldn't help but see that you have messages waiting on you. Now, its easy to over look it.

It's about as noticeable as the old notice. significantly larger red bold letters do the job pretty well.
I used to not notice the red bar that would show up sometimes, because it blended into the site too easily (everything was horizontal). But I've never missed this one.

I always miss it. Its my own fault maybe. I come here and instantly scroll down for new messages. If there ain't none, I leave, never having looked at the top right hand side.
