There's a dutch site called Beleef de Lente (Experience the Springtime) where you can see a variety of birds found in the Netherlands, all cameras are live.

You can see the bird from my avatars as well here: Blackbird

At night the cameras have a night vision, so you can watch the birds in the dark as well. (It is 22:30 now as I am posting this)

For the most part, we have ugly birds in our part of Oklahoma. However, where I live we have an abundance of humming birds, finches and road runners.
In fact, a momma road runner and her chicks have taken a liking to my home and hang around like chickens. They eat with the horses and pick up the scraps the horses drop. My wife says that the momma makes chicken noises when she talks to her young. smiley

Hahaha that's awesome!

And I've never seen a hummingbird yet either, they don't live in my country. But we do have finches a lot

That's really awesome Nib! I'm a bit of a bird person myself. I used to take injured pigeons and parrots in my primary school to the vet. smiley

You should see my home. Every animal we have arrived hurt or abused or neglected in some way.

We have two adopted Mustangs. They would have been dog food.
We have 8 cats. All we have fixed to prevent parenting but all would have died from neglect.
We have 4 dogs. At least one would surely have died since we found it in a trash can as a puppy INSIDE a plastic bag with a rubber band on its tail.
We have 2 parakeets. They NEED to die soon. I hate them.
and lastly, we have 2 normal horses. They arrived mostly unexpectedly too.

Heyhey what's with the parakeets? Is this another one of your weird humor jokes? smiley

Not really. Birds that are kept inside your house are noisy, messy things. They are very high maintenance and I really do hate them. Sadly, the wife doesn't see my viewpoint. smiley

You could hate them for that reason, but wanting them to die doesn't sound like an animal person smiley

Can't you give them to someone else?

I assure you, they are not being neglected. Parakeets have a rather short life span. I am just hoping that it comes soon. Wishing they were dead now and hoping they die soon isn't exactly the same thing.

Rest assured that if I were not an animal person, they wouldn't be in my house. Birds belong where cats have access to them. Those stupid bars on the cage tend to ruin that at times. :P

Ah it's alright, you now put up a more reasonable explanation. And believe me I really admire what you do for those animals.

These are a few pictures of some of our animals. They were taken a long time back but for the most part they are still alive.

Sometimes it can be. Of late though, with no one to watch them but Brenda, it is rather inconvenient. We cannot go any place that requires more than a day to get there and back. It effectively eliminated the chances of her riding with me any more.

Yeah I was talking about the pictures.

But I understand that. I mean if you had just a dog or a cat or something then it's no big deal, but with so many animals to take care of, I can understand it's sometimes too much, or at least, you cannot go away for too long, someone always have to look after them.

Edit: The blackbird on that cam is trying to get to sleep now. I don't think you ever get to see a sleeping bird on your own smiley At least not with this kind.
