Lightening bud. Thunder is a sound and prolly not visible from orbit.
To me the video looked CG, but, cameras are so good now that maybe CG looks like real life and not the other way around.

A 4K camera? That's awesome. Be nice to see this on an IMAX screen so you could actually see the detail.

I saw Portland. It was raining.
Is there a way to slow down the video on utube? I mean, even on full screen it was so fast that I really couldn't see much.
Yeah, I know its edited footage over a long period of time but I would still like to view it slower.

Just download it with a stream ripper and play it back locally slower.
If you're in the HTML5 beta, and that video has been processed to play under HTML5 player, it should have speed controls. But, honestly, it's much easier to just download the thing.
