MasterSword Problem

I played MasterSword before (a mod for half-life) and now I started playing again. Everything has been fine up until now and I don't know what to do. Here is the issue:

I was playing it and I noticed that the autosave text was not being displayed anymore, so I stopped the game and I realized that it had NOT been saving my progress. Then I tried restarting the computer and reloading my progress several times but the autosaving would not return. So I eventually replaced the save file with an earlier backup save, which did (temporarily) work. But after playing for about 15 minutes the autosave text stopped displaying again and I found out that my progress has been lost again.

Any ideas to solve this problem? I really want to play it more, but not if all of my progress keeps getting lost! Thanks for the help.

Man ... here I thought someone wanted to talk Zelda. (I have no idea what the issue is)

Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

Yeah, the Zelda master sword makes this issue hard to search for on the internet too.

Add -zelda at the end of the search term and it will filter out all zelda stuff smiley

Edit: I'm talking about Google

Yes I am bored.

Thanks, I'll remember that!

I'm still not sure what the issue is but I reloaded one of my backup saves again, and so far the saving is working fine. Before I was using a different weapon type and the saving stopped working both times. Not sure if it was a coincidence but once I stopped using it everything returned to normal.
