Found out about this awhile ago and figured you guys would find it interesting.
Seems Valve isn't too excited about MS's new OS.

Yea, it's somewhat frustrating the move towards a closed system for apps. Economically, Microsoft could stand to gain big from this, and stifle a lot of innovation and development. Windows 8 to me feels like a move to a more unified entertainment machine for everyone.

I played with the new Microsoft Surface tablet today, and it feels cool. I am slightly tempted to get the pro version (open platform) when it comes out. I would like to own a tablet to take with me and work on stuff anywhere I could fit some papers.

I like my games coming from one place in addition to my own physical collection. digital distribution leaves me a bit vulnerable, and having my content strung out over different services is just aggravating. Call me a fan boy, but I don't suspect I'll be abandoning Steam any time soon. And my next OS might just be a flavor of Linux. smiley
