I installed cod1.3 a minute ago & the bloody thing had a script error in it. Anyway, I think ive fixed it now:

in pak7.pk3 maps2.menu:

the script refers to ORIGIN_MAPS twice, whereas both should refer to ORIGIN_MAPS2 I think. Anyway, editing the script & overwriting it sorted it out for me.

so ur saying if i download it i cant play COD untill i fix this error... b.c i havent d/l'd the patch yet..

hmm, I remember when it 1st came out in america there were lots of people with the same problem. Its to do with the anti piracy checker thing.

Edit: actually, make sure you update your game. Also make sure your drivers are updated.

not necessarily. It happened to me, but im sure there are lots of other people it hasnt happened to. It might just be the mirror I dl'ed it from.

I installed the old patch already and my drivers are up to date with the version from about 10 days ago. Please don't tell me I have to use non-stock drivers to actually get this game to work... [addsig]

try looking through there m8. There were loads of people complaining about your problem when it came out. Only the american version though I think.

Hmm. It might be that both my CD drives are lower-lettered than the system drive - I screwed up with my last reformat and ended up with my Windows install on F: but changing it would have been too much a hassle worked fine with everything else, heh.

I've purchased new components and will be upgrading Thursday or Friday after I pick them up from home, so I'll just try again when everything is back to normal order. [addsig]
