`Tis it a dream? I suppose not. Finally, after 4 years was it? Or waiting, CS:CZ is finally out. Me personally, I wont be touching the piece of s**t, but I am wondering how many on SP are going to get it (You can download it VIA steam I think.) [addsig]

I doubt I'll get it, never really liked CS at all. [addsig]

It's CS + updated textures, 2 new maps, the official CS bot (which is like smartbot) ... and that's about it.

No way I'm buying this.

Well, I've been conned then! I've pre-ordered it and it doesn't arrive until about 3 days time. Looks good though - better graphics, more guns, shields, more interactivity between players (drag injured team mates behind crates etc). I remain unnecessarily optimistic! [addsig]

It'd probably be worth the money if you're a CS fan. Don't think it'll win many new playes over though. [addsig]

hopefully it will keep the CS lamers occupied for a while longer- so that they don't start playing UT2k4 or BF:Vietnam

CS is so hugely different to UT I don't think its a fair comparison. I love UT2004 (though its hugely laggy for me) but I also play CS a lot, its an entirely different playing experience. I definately won't be buying CZ though, bit of a rip off in my opinion. [addsig]

Well, im a traditionalist. I love CS 1.5 and Unreal Tournament GOTY. But I hate the new CS 1.6 and Steam garbage. And the UT2k3 and UT2k4, they are nice, but they shouldnt be called UT IMO. Dont get me wrong they are good games, but they lost the rush I get from the original.

CS is more about team playing and semi-real game play. Whereas UT is just pure ass kicking action. With some nice music to boot.

No one who calls themselves a traditionalist can think that 1.5 is the best.

Since my interest in CS is mainly headshotting people with the FiveseveN or the Glock, I don't think I'll be getting CZ

Just because the "rush" isn't there doesn't mean they shouldn't be called Unreal Tournament. They are similar, and even the same, in so many respects, that not using the same name would be insanity. They are sequels for gods sake, more direct sequels than any Quake title, or Final Fantasy title. Just because some people don't think it provides quite the same initial rush is hardly a reason to rename the series! [addsig]

Never played Quake, but I can agree on Final Fantasy.

As for UT, they are making it more and more team oriented strategy. The original was not. (the Single Player anyways). Command your bots and get the mission done.

CS has gone downhill since they f**ked with Cad's map, Vegas. Seriously, how hard is it to put the same file in the server build as the game build? And then the guys on retail got some other version of the map entirely. *sigh*

Vegas is such an awful map. I think people should be glad they were spared from playing it.

Vegas owns all. You suck. Plain and simple.

maybe they could use Steam for something useful and upgrade all of Half-Life to have those effects. of course, knowing Valve they would manage to break all the mods doing it

By all means, crack it ...

Notice that now that CZ is out, you can no longer 'pre-load' it lol. [addsig]

the rain and fog is in CS 1.6 ... CZ is just a glorified Singe player ... with a slight graphic improvement so people dont think theyre getting conned too much.

ill probably end up getting it for the single player and to look at the maps, but that's all ... no way some crappy "add-on" is replacing CS 1.5 or 1.6 in my gaming.

Wild Card - what's wrong with 1.6 ?
