Just checked, BigSci is the... 12th most downloaded map, with 195 dl. So, tell me, did you download it, did you like it? If you didnt like it, please tell me why, else I'll never get better.

I'm considering doing another version, with better mapping and code. Set in an eastern European city, known only as "City 17"...
No, if its to be with the HL1 engine, itll be an OpFor ripoff.

Its rare you find someone who doesnt enjoy the simple pleasures of murdering those simple-minded scientists.
Which brings me to wondering, if HL2 has more complex, deeper characters, might that take some of the fun out of scientist killing? The fun of scientist killing is mostly watching them run around randomly with their arms in the air, at least for me it is. Of course, what we lose in humourous scripted characters, we gain in ragdoll physics, so it all evens out in the end.
Big scientists for HL2 yeah!

I'm thinking there will be many enemies to keep you busy. And it looks like you'll interact with civilians first. Not to mention, the Scientists, if they're even present like they were in Black Mesa, probably wont flail around like that ... because they're smarter ... they'll probably run their asses off ... like people do in Postal2 which gets kind of annoying when you're trying to kill them ... thus making it not as fun ... but obvioulsly I have no real idea (From what I've experienced thus far, scientists exist in important areas). But I might be wrong ... [addsig]

Wil5on. You say that scientist hunting will be a bit boring in Half-Life2? Let me point out WHY it wont be:
1) Better AI. Shoot them, and they will hide, rather than running in circles. Makes for a good hunt.
2) Vehicles! Run those bitches over with buggys, boats, and other transportation method you can aquire.
3) Better physics. Pick up a jar with the gravity gun, and shoot it at that scientists head! Watch him run, then grenade his ass, only to see him flop around due to the all-mighty god, Phyiscs.
4) A better engine. Now with the source engine, maps can be twice as big, and 15x times in detail than in original Half-Life maps. This means, hunting a scientist in a big city, jumping from roofs, sniping him as he runs (And its said that AI can use vehicles, so shoot out the tires!)
5) Better weapons. Weapons like the Ant-lion grenade, or the improved RPG, who could get bored?
Those are only a few reasons why Scientist hunting in Half-Life2 will own. Need I say more?
