Watched "Spanglish" today.

Sandler's attempt at breaking out of his stereotype is well done in this film. I liked it and recommend anyone should see it.

Watched Office Space (for probably the fourth or fifth time) on the busride back from the swim meet yesterday. I think French Toast recommended it earlier, but I wanted to second his endorsement. It's not exactly an obscure film, and many people have probably already seen it, but if you haven't go check it out.

Besides, maybe after seeing this movie you'll get the "TPS Reports" reference in the Source version of cs_office.

I was gonna rent Kingdom of Heaven tonight 'cause I learned Ed Norton's in it, but alas, it wasn't there. But Unleashed was, and I couldn't even get that at Blockbuster (though that was like 3 weeks ago...) so yeah. <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif"> It's gonna be killer awesome, at least once I watch it...

I just saw Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. I was in hysterics most of the way through. Brilliant movie.

Yeah I'm going to go see that as soon as one of the many crappy cinema's in my area decides to show it. Man GreaterUnion pisses me off sometimes. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang looks terrific.

Saw Doom a couple of weeks ago, and I have to say I enjoyed it heaps. Despite being a movie based on a game it was actually really good. Easily one of the best action movies I've seen in a while. The Rock is a great action movie star, not only does he look the part but he's a decent actor as well.

I was surprised there was as much plot as there is. The Rock is very quotable too.

I just watched the Family Guy movie. Didn't think it was worth seeing. I laughed a few times, but the whole thing was very hit or miss.

No, I commented on the movie, no one responded.
I loved it too.

"I'm not suppose to die!"

I'm glad someone else on Earth liked it besides me. I think I liked Robert Ebert's review most. Everything he complains about are gripes about the story of Doom and not the movie really. He also proclaims that because of the movie he will never play the game. I thought it was funny.

I just watched the Interpreter. It's a really interesting movie, and once again Sean Penn was just awesome. It's got a good story, quite suspenseful, watch it!

Watched WotW today. I was truly impressed with the improved graphic for such an old storyline. They were not overdone like most remakes. I particularly like the fact that they did not rewrite it to suit the new mindsets for how movies "should be"

H.G. Wells needs no assistance IMO.

If you have not seen it yet, do so.

I don't think I could ever watch that movie without a great sound system. Seeing that in theaters was nothing short of an experience (Mind you, I don't give two s**ts about the characters <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">). I'm glad Spielberg is putting DTS tracks on all DVD versions too image

Careful, thats 2 for 2. People may think we are beginning to agree on something.

I did like the film though. I liked the old B/W version. Not as well as this but still, for its day it was alright.

I really, really want to see Potter #4. If I can find the time, I may locate a matin?e this weekend. Sadly, I have not learned my way around this town yet so I do not even know where the cinema is yet. <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/sad.gif">

Yeah, he's actually good. I mean, it's Ridley Scott, do you think he'd accept a s**tty performance?

i disagree actually. imo bloom was the only weak point in the film. he just wasnt as charismatic as i hoped him to be. Maybe i'm biased because he played the coward Paris in Troy.

Saw Doom yesterday. i disliked the appearance of the monsters. only the big "crawling" one was cool. The first person concept was awesome, and the story wasn't bad actually <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

Yeah, "good" was a little strong. I should have said, "Not painful to watch".

He's definitly not a leading man. I wish he'd learn to act ... well ... and THEN get in movies.

Goddamn you Peter Jackson. LOTR made him look like a decent actor, because his pale, stiff as a board acting suited the character.

I really liked the HPotter movies, but #3 was just dreadful. The book was actually more tense than the movie. Any idea when #4 will be out (if it isn't already)?

? quoting BlisTer

i disagree actually. imo bloom was the only weak point in the film. he just wasnt as charismatic as i hoped him to be.

Exactly what or where would "Charismatic" fit into the theme/part he portrayed in the movie might I ask? I think his stoic disposition fit perfectly with the part and the director or whomever realized it did an excellent job placing him as the lead for that part.

Consider, he is following after Liam Neeson. How many actors would hold up under that shadow? Neeson is nearly God, will anyone notice a second rate actor otherwise?

The fact that he still did a satisfactory job shows that either he is better than you give him credit for, or someone else utilized him in such a way as to make him stand out in spite of Neeson.

Bloom did well considering.
