| Gimp, its not a Hollywood film apparently. I saw an interview with one of the cast with Jonathon Ross, and he said at long last its a British story with British cast and British crew. |
I asumed it was with it being a Jerry Bruckheimer film.
I knew most of the main cast was British but I didnt know that they all were and that it was a British crew as well

the most enjoyable movie i've seen recently must be the ladykillers. the 1st 15-20 mins had me howling. the bit with the dog is classic. i'm laughing just thinking about it.
hidalgo was a good one too. and i was even more impressed when i found it was based on a true story. i dont think i'd ever even heard of frank hopkins, but his name should be up there with the best known of any of the famous cowboy types. damn, the guy should probably be made an american national hero, with his very own holiday.

Im looking forward to The Bourne Supremecy cos that looks like a good film and hopefully they wont kill it like they have a tendency to do with sequels.

I'm fairly sure it was more Bruckheimer was using his clout to get the movie made than that he was directly involved in the day to day creation of the film. They tossed his name in the trailers in hopes it would draw more people to the theaters.

The actual quality of the film (costumes, sets, lighting, etc.) is very, very good though. But the content of the visuals is so beyond lacking.
It felt like the entire movie was building up to something that it could never achieve- although you could tell it wanted to very badly. Towards the end they keep trying to pull the rug out from under you, but towards no ultimate goal- the end result is pretty much the same as what they want you to expect, if that makes any sense at all.
My two cents. Not worth it. [addsig]

| I went to go see The Villiage last night. It's not worth it, IMO. It's not scary, at all, ever, it's not very thought-provoking, the acting is almost all wooden delivery of want-to-be "deep" lines, and I had the "twist" figgured out in the first 20 min.
