You have a low standard of trash if Virus didn't make your garbage list ...
my garbage list is a bit more selective.. movies like "night of the living dead" and "killer tomato's" top it though..

Even if I don't personally like those movies, they're not bad. Yet, I hate Kevin Costner so much.
i have a wide range of movies though.. BUT<--- points at word, i could never make a list of greats.. i have to damned many.
the great thing is, of the two of us, only i have to enjoy them, while i am watching them

I guess you have little kids then. Although I admit Pixars movies can be enjoyed by any age group.

Also, some of the "scare tactics" worked pretty well, and some of the sound effects were pretty solid. The whole cat noise thing they had going on was an interesting twist.
One thing that I wish they would have done more with were reflections. In most of the scenes, SOMETHING was reflecting an image. For the most part, however, nothing ever comes of it (there are a few instances where something will show up, but not nearly enough to justify the sheer amount of reflective surfaces. And when it DOES show up, it's fairly obvious.) I think they should have at least done some relatively simple overlay image tricks to give the impression that something may have been in the reflection, but not necessarily hammer on the point. The movie could have used a few more subtle scare moments, IMO.
Oh, and in case anyone cares, there was an add for "Tw0", a sequel to "The Ring." I think it'll be crap, since I really didn't enjoy the first one much at all. Just something to think about. [addsig]

i truly enjoyed "The Ring" which is odd for me because for the most part i think horror/scary movies are a complete waste of tape..
but on a side note, i was looking at the rings cast and came across this
the lead star is not only making "Ring2" but hold onto your hats, she is making "King Kong"... thrill of thrills.. another kong flick. ![]()

I suppose, it would be safe to say, the trailers are misleading, but I don't know what was cut out of the movie (the rating was changed). I liked the movie overall, but some of the acting is not that great. The people who you'd think are good actors give under par performances, but I suppose it goes along with the character they're playing and with what James Wan wanted.
I don't think most people would enjoy the movie though. I know the people I went to it with were way too excited to see it, so they thought it was terrible and trash.
I don't understand why people hype themselves up for movies all the time, if you do that of course you're going to hate the movie. The only movie I've ever seen that actually lived up to hype was Fight Club.
See Saw if you really want to see it, but push your expectations down, it's a good movie, but not spectacular, more or less slightly above average overall. [addsig]

Well, at least one person laughed at White Chicks.
that movie was infested with my kind of humor.. if some of you still cannot grasp my jokes, watch white chicks.. you will see a graphical representation of what humor is supposed to look like
when the "Basking in the ambiance" scene happened, i had to pause the movie cause i was laughing so hard i couldn't see.. especially when it was preceded by "you're my kind of woman"
anywho's, it was one of the funniest flicks i have seen in a long time.
