Watched Collateral the other night, and really enjoyed it. I wouldn't say its quite on par with Heat (Michael Mann's other very well known film) but its still a cool film regardless. Really nice looking film, I loved some of the shots they had in it, great angles.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas had so much potential. They were basing it off one of the funniest books I have ever read, from which all parts of the story, narration, and dialogue (as far as I can tell) were quoted. The sets, for the most part, were dead-on. Johnny Depp looked exactly like how I had imagined Raoul Duke. And in the end it sucked. At least the book is still good.

Shaun of the Dead was freaking awesome, but my judgement is somewhat biased due to my love of Spaced, which was written by the same people and included most of the cast. Oh, and Black Books is another great British comedy series akin with Spaced.

Another great one is Undead, its a fairly recent Australian made zombie movie, and one of the best ones I've seen. Here's a link to a detailed review.

Some other great comedies I've seen recently are Clay Pigeons and Buying the Cow.

Shaun of the Dead rules. I wish there were a proper DVD here, like the UK version. [addsig]

I know what you mean, I can't get s**t here in Australia. I have to wait for ages before the Spaced seasons on dvd are available in my zone, lest for some reason I can't run the UK ones on my modified dvd player and I waste a load of money.

Whaddya mean by "proper" DVD? There's a DVD, anyway, so that's good enough for me.

And I watched Johnny English, fairly enjoyable since Mr. Bean played the idiot once again, had some great scenes too when he parachutes onto the wrong building, I laughed my proverbial ass off.

As far as I know that's the only difference ... it's just the UK version is PACKED with them. [addsig]

You had expectations for Elektra? The only thing I could imagine expecting is a Daredevil like movie, and it blew that out of the water ... [addsig]

For Elektra think Alias but her using ninja weapons, in a ninja style outfit, fighting ninja like bad guys. I'm sorry but Jennifer Garner has absolutely no credibility as an action character. The few times I watched Alias I cringed everytime she did a dive with guns blazing, as it looked like the recoil alone would snap those toothpick arms of hers. Her wrists are so weak she wouldn't be able to hit anything when firing, as she even has trouble holding a pistol steady.

And damn, the bitch ain't that good looking.
