I had to do it for summer reading sometime around fifth grade. It was a set in a universe quite like medieval times, but with tripods in control and humans enslaved.
I forget the author so if anyone knows what I'm talking about, speak up.

Dude, my success rate for choosing movies you all will like is nil. This movie has to cater to your tastes. All I can say is, "Its a Clint Eastwood Directed film" If you know his style, you'll know its your taste or not.

"Anger Management"
Actually very good acted - But i just totally don't like the plot. It's somewhat stupid (considering the lesson in the end).
The more I liked "Pacifier". Even it wasn't very intelligent. I was absolute positively surprised how they managed to merge action with family movie. And Vin Diesel proves that he's able to adapt in a half new genre.
