Now, I find carrey utterly annoying in it.

I recently watched Van Helsing and Spiderman2 at the theatre. Both were good.
Has anyone seen the movie Pi?
I watched Pi two or three weeks ago, and it is probably the best movie I've seen all year. [addsig]

But its actually really cool. Basically this guy finds a number through stocks and other mathematical situations that explains life (kind of like the permittivity constant, but interesting) and there are several groups after him for the number and such ... that's a really dumbed down synopsis though. But its good

Pi is transcendental, basically meaning you can't write its exact value down, either through decimals or fractions or with any kind of finite sum/formula. And it's not boring, it's depth/scope surpasses any human created art

So humankind will never have a prayer of matching a bunch of random marks on a page which we essentially created? Sorry, but there are many things in the world I find to be much 'deeper'.

The world record for most digits of Pi memorized and recited was set at 42,195 digits by Hiroyuki Goto of Japan in February, 1995. It took him nine hours to recite. [addsig]
