Currently watching "Earth Sea" *yea DVR*

I am rather disturbed with all the borrowed content in the theme/story line.

i am currently at the "hogwarts" portion of the program, which only recently ended the "Jason and the Argonaut" part..

I hope this show improves a bit, cause i have been waiting for it for months. :/

[edit]

oh god, now i am at the "Lord of the rings" portion.. some omnipotent being thing is after the lead character

A lot of it did seem kind of "borrowed." But, Heck, we never know WHO borrowed from WHO, see This. Anyway, I enjoyed EarthSea. I hope you did too.

Hrmm watched a few movies recently:

Starship Troopers 2: I knew this was bad going in so I wasn't too dissapointed that it was probably the worst movie I've seen in the last few years, though it does pick up towards the end with lots of violence and actually a few creepy scenes. The plot more or less ripped off System Shock 2, though, with the one and the many crap.

Van Helsing: Generic Hollywood crappy action film, but I'm hopelessly infatuated with Kate Beckinsale so I can't say nay to it, and there was some relatively stylish killings between the predictable scenes.

Dodgeball: Good but overrated, Rip Torn's a badass as always, Ben Stiller's a freak as always (that's why he's my role model), Vince Vaughn's doesn't display emotion and is amusing in the process so that's another positive, and Christine Taylor's pretty as well as a pretty decent actress (something that I don't think I've seen before).

i think, he was referring to the combination crono. *shrugs*

personally, i try hard not to apply "look" into any acting ability factor. mostly because it can work to the negative, being pretty doesn't always mean acts well.

some of my favorite actress's are: Kate Hepburn. Whoppi Goldberg, neither are very pretty, but can they act

Haven't really watched many films lately bar The Incredibles which I saw at the cinema the other day. I was really impressed by it, particularly because I didn't really have high hopes for it initially (those they were raised by all the positive comments I'd heard here). Visually its absolutely amazing as well, and some of the settings are really nicely realised.

Oh, how I hate Christmas specials! What's worse is that every TV station transmits them non-stop in the holydays. One extra reason to go out into the world and have fun. [addsig]

When watching all 3 series of 24, you come to realise just how many things are annoyingly left unanswered. Series 4 better start cleaning up.

When watching season 2 (I think it was) of 24, you have to wonder how everyone's so relatively calm after the US gets nuked. (Unless I'm horribly mistaken as usual) [addsig]

I'd been meaning to see Garden State for a while, and I finally watched it earlier this week. It's incredible, and I'm pretty sure it has passed Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind for my favorite movie of 2004.

"Garden State" was quirky and interesting, but the effect doesn't last as long as other movies. The soundtrack, however, is wonderful. And Best Buy is even having a sale on it!

"Eternal Sunshine" remains high on my list of excellent cinema, surpassing "State". I haven't seen "Million Dollar Baby" yet, but I am pretty sure that it's going to be even better than the forementioned two films, judging from "Mystic River" and other Eastwood productions.

Don't miss "Closer" if you haven't seen it yet. It's dark, but gratifyingly so (and it also has Natalie Portman).
