And just to forewarn other unaware people, the following comic books from which films/TV were made are also NOT Marvel: Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, The Flash, The Green Hornet, Green Lantern, Judge Dredd, Hellboy, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

DC comics had its perks, but will never overshadow marvel.

someday, i will have to dig out my comics and write down which ones i have..

i have about... 100 i guess, all in plastic sleeves, none in pristine condition, but at least they are getting no worse.

marvel always had the coolest events.. when i was collecting them it was "Inferno" involved every freaking character in the marvel universe..

Dumb Fs

Seriously I think all people born here in West Australia are inherently moronic. And they cant merge. And they seriously think that daylight savings will fade their curtains. In all sincerity this was and still is a legitimate argument against D.S. i stopped larfing at this sorta idoicy a long time ago, now its just pathetic to see it continue... Im so glad i was born in NSW

im done ripping on West Aussies now Lep

Interesting detail: The yellow biker suit worn by Uma Thurman is an allusion to Bruce Lee's famous yellow sweater. In "fists of fury", a monument in Karate movies, he prefers the sweater, modern and practical, to the traditional kimono, and he choses a colour that doesn't mean anything (unlike red, or white, or black who have a certain symbolic significance). He wanted to be as free as possible from the ancient martial arts teachings.

Tarentino is probably using this cliche; in his own way, he's an anti-traditional too... not exactly like Bruce Lee though

Also have you noticed the pose Skeletor is doing in your pic?

And last of all, why does a skeleton have muscles? Surely skeletor should be all skinny and crap....

I would have to disagree with the second point. The picture clearly depicts Skeletor preparing for his Ubre-Leat Attack, which of course begins with standing in a pose that is blatantly homosexual. Now, here's my theory: born a skeletor, our villain Skeletor was rejected at superhero schools and started listening to punk music and writing poetry about the 'darkness... darkness... of his soul'. Skeletor was shunned by female classmates and ridiculed by males, and he decided to become a Catholic Priest.

Here we have pictured the looming Castle Grayskull, which of course, Our Hero fights to protect. During the course of the theme song of He-Man Adventures, Skeletor suddenly destroys the music when he attacks He-Man and the castle. However, I have discovered that secret messages are contained within the theme animation which only serve to prove my theory of Skeletor's homosexuality.

And there you have it.

Kain, that's all nice, except for the fact that it's a jumpsuit.

One reason why DC will never overshadow Marvel is that their characters are unbelievable. Secondly, Marvel characters live in REAL CITIES. The most believable DC character is Batman, however, batman is awesome.

Kevin, Spawn was a terrible piece of crap and you should be beaten for saying it was even okay .

As for all the s**tfest comic book movies, I know ... I know. However, thankfully now they're taking a second hand at it in a professional maner.

Don't count on Captain America being made any time soon though, as much as it would kick ass, and it would, it's tied up in so much legal paper work it probably wont be free any time soon.

Yeah, Blade did start the whole 'respect comic books dammit' thing. However, most people who 'love' that movie don't know its based on a comic book. But I must say, it's the best adaptation I've seen yet, because the comic book was terrible (by best adaptation I mean best and most sensable changes, thus adapted).

The new fantastic four looks like crap based on the casting. Paul "fast and furious" Walker gets the human torch ... that no talent ass clown. As bad as Fast and the Furious was ... he was the worst part ... and that's really really really sad.

I am very much looking forward to '06 because of X3
However, Hayter (main writter for both Xmen and X2) says he doesn't want to include Gambit as a physical character because he's too much like wolverine and such. In one of the better storylines (in my opinion) Remy was Logan's son, and I thought that was awesome, in the same story line Logan was Victor Creed's son (Sabertooth). They're doing such a great job with the X-Men universe, to be honest. However, I heard that they only want to make 2 more Xmen films and then have that be that, and then immediatly schedual indipendant movies. Wolverine would be the first (I think people have too much of a fixation on Wolverine, he's cool and all, but ... there are cooler characters) [addsig]

And it's gonna be directed by a Hobbit! Or at least last I checked...
