I never tried to beat HL easy mode, but normal and hard were simple enough - but lots of fun later with strafe and grenade jump ^.^'

Is that a Myth II map you have for your avatar?

Hard and easy, never done it on medium completed it a thousand times on rainy days of boredom on either hard or easy - got it 3 months after initial release for 20 quid second hand!

The original owner gave up as he couldnt figure out "where to go"... it turned out he could never find the HEV suit, hahaha. He never was much of a geek anyway, his loss was my gain!

The end was genius. I got there using cheats.

I played all the way on Normal/Medium until about halfway into the final boss battle with Nihilinth (sp?), where I just turned on cheats. Those little teleporter balls really pissed me off (yes, I know you were supposed to block them with the spikes...). Plus bouncing all the way up there was a real pain in the ass.

Yep, just noclipped up there and unloaded into his brain. Good times.

XEN. It is XEN. You know, xenophobe, etc? Zen is the name of one of my friends, heh.

CJ, it's Nihilanth. I think the word's derived from 'nihilism'.

I loved the atmosphere of Half-life ! especially the npcs and the enemies. the only thing I hated was this railroad level ahh you always had to wait for that damn train and you couldnt use strafe jump there

I found Xen fun. It wasn't too hard yet it was interesting and a refreshing change from the run-shoot-hit button style of the earlier parts of the game.
