This game is brilliant. Straight up and said; this game is pure brilliance. For those of you who DONT know what Pain Killer is, its a newly released FPS by DreamCatcher Studios. ( http://www.painkillergame.com ). So seldom does an FPS like this come along, and change your entire thoughts about FPS gaming. The plot is: Your Daniel Garner, while driving to your wifes birthday dinner, you are hit by a truck and both you, and your wife die. But, when she goes to heaven - he doesnt. Instead, he winds up condemed to pugatory for 50 years. I wont tell you anymore of the story; since It'd ruin it for you. This FPS brings old-school gameplay into a new setting of graphics, sound, and overall fun. A lot of games that are good, are usually full of ambience...Basically, Pain Killer takes baths in ambience. From cemetarys, to churchs; from towns, to WWII fronts - this game has a lot of places to kill demons. And thats another thing about this game: The level of detail. This games character design is the best ive seen since such games as Halo, or Half-Life. Im not talking good "graphically" (although they are), no; I am talking good in the design department. Characters each have different special attacks, hone to their look.

This game is a great buy. I am only on Act 1: Level 5; and I already am hooked. This game wont just get you hooked until the release of Half-Life2; or Doom 3, it'll keep you hooked long after they are released.

Ive come to relize that the Havoks phyiscs engine isnt too detailed and hone to the animations of the real life body, and world objects. Its more of flashy effects, and rolling objects that havent been seen in games, and look so good, that we say it looks like real life movements.
