I like the new drop down menus from the main navigation bar, but in
Firefox the background is transparent and there is no border which
makes it look a bit crappy and somewhat difficult to read. Looks great
in IE though

I just noticed the drop-down menu's. They look nice and are a bit
time-saving, so I'd say keep them. It could be nice though to have
them disappear instantly when you click anywhere on the current page,
so when you want to read what's behind them or click a tiny link there,
you can force them to go away instead of having to wait.
Nevertheless, a nice addition to the pit. Keep it coming!

Ah its working better now, though the red border only appears on the left and top of the box in FF now.

Why'd you get rid of the forums thing on the left?
I actually used that.

Seconded.
I like the high-res option though.
If you insist on having those drop downs at the very least, put a border all the way around the drop down. [addsig]

Drop down menus needs to be a profile option, if such is possible. It makes it hard to click on the General Banner link the old fashioned way

Like I said, I'm finding it very hard to modify the Javascript so borders appear in Firefox/etc. but I'll try. And I'll make them a profile option...

... why aren't you using CSS for the drop down? OH WAIT, IE doesn't support that part of the standard.
Sorry. I'm not helping, am I?
I have some drop down menu stuff, but it only works in Mozilla/Netscape/etc. I believe in the "If (IE) return false" areas you can place working IE dropdown code.
However, if you want it to be mouseover and not click drop down, you'll need to do some tweaking. Or you could steal SAP's site code. [addsig]

I am using CSS you pimp
It's because some browsers DON'T seem to support sizing/width standards when it comes to JavaScript, which is where the drop-down widths have to be defined.

Take a look at this. http://www.webbedenvironments.com/dhtml/code/18_NavigationControls/MenuDropDown/index.html
It does work in IE and looks the same, except when highlighting, but I'm sure you can alter some of the IE area code to make it smoother. [addsig]
