Question: On threads with multiple chapters, is there some way of going to the newest posts for each chapter individually?

If not, would it be simple to implement?

Edit: Sorry, I thought I was editing the previous post

?! You people are insane and breaking my forums!

Agent Smith, what browser are you using, and does it happen when you reply from the quick reply or the full reply page? And fraggard yeah I'll look into that.

the "Insert a smiley" function is not functioning.

or rather, the images are not appearing in the message window before you hit "Submit"

I now can't actually VIEW the different chapters of the server thread, let alone post in different ones I click on them, and I just get taken to the bottom of the first page of the "banter" chapter. Using firefox, as always.

Works for me on Firefox 1.0.1 .

Also, Lep, could you make the chapters links bold if there are new posts in that chapter? [addsig]

Is is possible to take that 'posteri nthe last 5 minutes" thing off the multible chapter threads. I posted in banter then in theme on the server thread and they both got lumped together in banter.

I'm using FireFox 1.0 at the moment. It was doing it with both replies. I had to post in another area of the forums before it would allow me to make a post in there. I noticed Reno had a similar problem with posts going into the wrong chapter, thats also happened. Just now I can't access Map Suggestions, I keep getting taken to the Banter chapter. It seems to only be playing up in the Snarkpit Server Thread, I've had no problems elsewhere in the site.

ARRGGGHHHHH!!!!! I was writing a long ass post and IE f------- closed the wondow, deleting all that I had written.

I gonna make this short and hope it makes sense. Inside of the quick reply section of when you are replying to the messege there is a link for BBCode and Images....which oddly link to the same place...which I think would be repetitive...but...that is more of a suggestion...not a bug...

Anyway...when the bbcode/images mini window is open, and I move the cursor back into the quick reply section of the window behind it, it automatically sends the bbcode/images window behind the quick reply window....before I even click anything...it just sends it to the back!

Dark Tree, in IE you should be able to click on 'restore lost post' to, er, restore what you were typing. I've also sorted out that cursor thing, and hopefully the chapter stuff to. It's causing a lot of problems coding wise, lots of niggly little bits I hadn't anticipated :/

Wow! The bbcode/images window doesn't automatically send itself back now...and you added a button at the bottom of the page that takes you to the top! I have never seen such an awesome and active moderator like yourself that actually tests out users' goofy ideas and suggestions!

It's like...I have a problem/bug with the site....post it....and an hour later you read my post and fix it!

and...hey...what about a link that takes you to the top...and POOF! there is a link!

Now...What about a link that automatically takes one dollar out of everyones bank account and paypals it to mine?

No really. I appreciate your openness to users' opinions

Most other websites just use someone else's forum software or programs that are 'released' every few weeks. This is all my own custom stuff, and I want it to be the best godammed site on the internet, so of course I'm going to listen to what you say BTW chapters are now bold if there's a new post in them.

They hve always been bold for me if there was a new post....maybe you are referring to something I was unaware of. [addsig]

Bolding of the link on the forum page, not inside the thread. [addsig]

I have a complaint of sorts, but am unsure if its me or i am missing something.

of late i have noticed that if a map commenting section is not going exactly how the author likes, he is swapping it for a forum comment.. this deletes all the previous comments. i have noticed that the people who commented before do not come back and reply again. this is making the map seem... better.

if this is the case it needs to be disabled. either you chose a forum reply, or a maps comment reply. you should not be allowed to switch midstream.

if i am mistaken, i apologize.

I seem to have a few minor problems when posting using Firefox (version 1.0).

*When using the Quick Reply function the Font, Font Size and Font Colour menus disappear as soon as I take the cursor of the menu head. Like this:

*The smileys won't appear under the "insert a smiley:", however, they do appear after clicking the "Can't see the box below?" link.

*In the usual New Reply dialog the Font, Font Size and Font Colour menus don't disappear like in the Quick Reply dialog, but they do nothing when I try to change the font/size/color.

Don't know if it's a bug or a feature, but in IE when hitting enter the marker jumps two steps down and Shift+Enter makes a single jump.

Well, just minor things, but still. Perhaps someone has already reported some of this, but I didn't feel like reading through the past thousand post so.. .

Lep said before that he can't do much about these.

Now You don't have to

Do you have the same problem when you're using IE? Do you have X-Mouse activated (like I do)?

There is a work-around for it. First click on the font size box, but before you move the pointer away from the box, use the keyboard arrow keys to select the font size/color. That's how I get around the minor bug.
