Ballblue, I'm getting the same thing and I'm not really sure why, but suffice to say it's an IE problem with Javascript & cookies.

its not a connection speed issue, cause i have been experiencing it for a while now.

i just figured it was a slow host issue again and didn't mention it.

beating up the poor performance of the host didn't seem prudent right now. :/

I'm seeing what seems to be a bit of a code program on the main page. Just above the "2223 active users have made..." stats bit on the front page it says "couldnt fwrite".

I dunno if this is just a temporary thing I ran into or not, but I have two "Go to page: [ 1 2 3 ... 100 101 102 ] next?" bars listed when browsing forums. [addsig]

I hesitate even mentioning any bugs as yet, for 2 reasons.

1) our lord and savior hasn't even arrived today to notice anything amiss.

2) the things wrong are so obvious, that mentioning them makes me look like either a prude, or a *shudders* forum whore. (god i hate that word, its so degrading.)

anywho's.. i have noticed no bugs that are not blatant issues with the database needing updated. which i assume will be very simple to remedy.

i would however request that avatars be a priority. i feel naked without mine.

there is some issue with adding a map to my control pannel with mySQL lep.

Message submitted 1 minutes after original post:

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'mod,game,user_id,size) VALUES ('Focal Point Assignment','','',''

Whew! Welcome back to the Pit. I almost died waiting its return. I noticed that none of the avatars are showing up in the forum, and the page load time seems to be significantly longer than in the past. Perhaps it's the new server? My personal pit is not accessible anymore. I suspect others might have the same issue. Lep, you must be overwhelmed by all the error reporting. I do sincerely appreciate all the work you've done to migrate the Pit to a new hosting company. Oktagone is history. Goodness gracious. [addsig]

Another point that's pretty minor (not sure if it's already been posted because I don't feel like reading back for pages and pages); the validation link in the email when registering links to snarkpit.com, that should probably be rectified.

aw I like the old layout better smiley

This one is cozy and s**t, but the old one was unique and less confusing. I tried to change it on the CP but it didn't work, so I guess thats another DB issue.

My Snark Pit is the new white theme before I log in.....but AFTER I log in it loads my old theme (the main black one). So it is working awesome for me.

One thing that is NOT working awesome is the avatars. Nobodys avatar is showing up on my end. Everybodys avatar is just a red x. Even the 'restore' button to the left of this typing area has a red x.

I am using IE 6.0.29 if that helps at all...........

It seems like editing User Preferences is borked in general. Tried to switch the time format back to minutes/hours ago, but it kept defaulting back to 0 GMT. Plus, I think someone else above can't change their theme either. [addsig]

Preferences have been fixed, and I'll get onto images not working properly. I thought everything was working properly, but oh well!

UPDATE: the maps problem has been fixed, seems there's some problem with mySQL not liking rows called 'mod' for some reason on this server.

And pits, small problem- I'm now in Hong Kong and forgot to upload them all before I left, so sorry! If anyone wants their directory back just to use for the time being please PM me, and I'll be able to restore all your files when I'm back home in a week or so (if not sooner).

What about the newline bug? It may be only a problem with FireFox (which I am using). I see that posting by Orpheus look fine. [addsig]

Yipee! Thanks Lep. I noticed that you just fixed the avatar error. Now, onto the newline problem. But take your time, you deserve some rest. It's so late already (for you). I noticed that some of the icons for the map download section are white, and some are orange. I can't figure out the purpose for the difference in color. [addsig]

A minor detail, but in Firefox 1.0.1 (for me) on the frontpage the HLDM Server box shifts the drop down menus so that the start about 1.5cm above where they normally appear. Works fine everwhere else.

I'm starting to think that maybe I should be telling Mozilla all these subtle problems, rather than asking that websites compensate for it...

Multiple file uploading!!! I f**king love you!

Oh, and the stats page seems a little off to me - says there have been no PM's written, for example.
