Is anyone (who's doing a flatshade map) planning to have their's playable in a HLDM setting? I went to (fairly) reasonable lengths to make a layout and test it for VIS/r_speed purposes.

To a certain degree, yes, though I expect w_poly of around 1400-1600 There isn't much texture information there however, which is something that will have a positive effect on performance (my map seneca seemed to prove that rule). Also, its pretty much 100% horizontal gameplay, so it will most likely suck.

To be honest though, I'm not making this with a thought for gameplay, I just wanna make something that looks like it could fit into The Wind Waker! [addsig]

All this flat-shading talk is tempting my to try and finish my Donkey Kong map too Damn you all!

Regarding gameplay - i'm going to try and keep a playable layout on my maps as I don't really see the point of maps if they're only to be looked at....that's going to come back and haunt me

I have a themed map in the works, can I just finish that map since I have other presiding projects that are moreimportant (ie: nightwatch..) or does the map have to be original?

Err, we don't even know if the contest is themed or flatshaded or whatever yet...but if your map adheres to the rules and hasn't yet been released, i dont see why you couldn't enter it. [addsig]

being on the stats page, for a couple odd reasons, is hardly worship material gwil

consider, a vast majority of snarkpit, is either my suggestion, or a coincidental suggestion i made that got incorporated, but either way, i check most every page once per day to see if i can find any bugs or errors..

many times, what worked yesterday, doesn't today cause of some update or another.

if i appear to be prowling the site, its not in search of my own name, all those can be removed for all i care, its only in search of the illusive bugs..

you might be surprized to know, how many i have found since i have been here

besides *glares at jeff* if it were all important to me which poll had the most votes, wouldn't i wait till mine did it

If it was made to last 10 weeks or so, then everybody would be able to fit something in wouldn't they? I know a lot of people will be having exams in the next couple of months, but if there is still 2 or 3 weeks left after that, these people should still be able to enter.

Ignore wpoly - no func_walls were used there. Made it in 5 minutes flat, and compiled.
