Kage is right Jeff, this isn't the way to deal with the problem or any grievances you have with Myrk-/the administration of the site, and i'm certain you know it isn't.

I won't lock this thread, that's Leps discretion for now, but I will say there are "channels" to communicate any problems or quarms you have, which will reap more rewards than this...

I agree that editing should not be entered into lightly, and I'm sure Myrk- will agree that he won't be so hasty before entering into the action again - Myrk-?

Not sure what brought this on, but as I have adminning abilities in the editing forum, I'm gonna say that if I've edited a post it's either to make something an answer that wasn't (typically to close a thread) or I've written a note inside someone else's post in cyan (typically to make a comment without bumping a topic and reopening worm cans).

i have no idea what occurred while i was absent, but would like to express that, on the whole, the admin do not abuse their powers here at snarkpit, for which i am grateful to say the least.

there are occations however, when they forget they are admin, and as such, must be above petty sentiments, where it could be construed as biased.. this doesn't occur to often

basically, it is my opinion, that if an admin has committed a serious breach of etiquette, the first step is to notify a secondary admin, and explain the issue.. if that fails, then it needs to be brought up in an open forum, to show that it is a serious issue, and that private channels failed to solve it.

if an admin feels that their powers exceed the open forums, then they do NOT need to be an admin from that point on.. no one is above equal rights.

I have to agree with Orph - we are extremely lucky that the admins here are as un-corrupt as they are; I've gotten into many arguments with Lep and Myrk that edged on being quite nasty, but they have fought fair every time.

That being said, it is ridiculous to think that we should ever condone the admins actively censoring us - we're just about the most outspoken group of people on the face of the earth. While I'm not exactly clear what Myrk did, telling us to basically piss off when we believe an admin has been abusing his powers is not only the stupidest thing you could possibly do, but not in the least a satisfactory response.
