In all fairness, there was one element of Star Trek I enjoyed, and that was The Borg. They were just baddass. But then I found out about that whole Queen borg thing, which sort of went against the entire idea of The Borg being an emotionless singular consciousness. :-/ [addsig]

why? it fit perfectly into the queen bee, drone concept..

if thats your reason, so be it, but its a bit thin..

i think what i like best about enterprise is, they have not retired to the holo-deck.. the last two seasons of TNG... most occurred in the holo-fantasy-land.. it got old..

They never acted as a hive, they were a singular concsciousness. The borg were cool because of this - I never imagined there was a leader of sorts, more that they were one being. They were cold, emotionless and simply didn't give a damn about anyone but themselves (or, if you want, itself). But the queen borg was an individual, and had emotion. This, in my eyes, was totally against what The Borg was about. She trusted Data too much, and she got screwed because of it. If she was a TRUE borg, this would never have happened. Hell, if she was a true borg, she wouldn't have existed.

I liked that they were one consiousness, not some bee hive. It made them more intimidating in my opinion. [addsig]

Can't be bothered to read the thread, but enterprise is definately better than TNG IMO. In TNG, most episodes were either 'someone gets stuck in the holodeck', 'ricker gets involved with some alien woman', or 'data has some problem understanding humans'. All of the non-main-plot episodes were pretty boring really...

I don't know where we are with enterprise here in the UK... I think the last episode I watched, they were very close to finding the alien WMD.

"Enterprise" blows and I hate Scott Bakula, however, I doubt it's crappier then "Voyager" (what a bad show).

Titanic was a piece of crap. Its also a paradox, a James Cameron movie with only one gun.

I don't watch much TV anymore, simply because it's all crap. Not many people can produce decent shows now (or ever, really). All my faith in broadcasting companies has been lost as well, since they're all stuck in the 'reality-rift' with slogans like "It doesn't get any more real then this". The last good show that came out was Spider-Man. However, I have no idea if they're going up for a second season, I doubt it since Mtv has a bunch of morons for employees.

When I went to the theater yesterday there was some crappy advertisement (funded by the lake of poison himself, Joel Silver) for a new reality show, where people try out to be an action film star. Whomever wins gets their own craptacular movie, produced by the swarm of locus that is Joel Silver.

make it easy on yourself crono, just assume everything you dislike, is on my favorites list

However, I don't see how I would suffer in any way by stating my opinion about these (horrible) shows/movies.

I'm also going to assume you mean in 'media/entertainment minus games'. (Obviously, we both like HL ... and women )

i know this may be a waste of time, but you have gotta see this show.. if nothing else the last few episodes will get you hooked..

get bit torrent..

search out and released torrents by "NiteShdw500kbps"

look for at least episodes 3x20, 3x21, 3x22 or 3x23

gives a whole new meaning to edge of your seat.

322 and 323 are two of the best shows ever for trek..

Deep Space Nine and Voyager were both good, but not as good as The Next Generation. I have seen every single episode of both TNG and the original Star Trek. Amazingly enough, I didn't even know that "Enterprise" existed until last night.

I guess I don't really watch much TV nowadays.
