Had it a while but haven't got round to playing it much yet. I've done most of the standard DM maps and they were pretty cool but i've as of yet to play the new game-modes [addsig]

I downloaded the demo a while back, it rocks! A game I got recently was Postal2! Share the pain, that sh*t is funny

I've played it plenty since it came out in March. Hmm, didn't we have a thread on this game before? [addsig]

My flatmates and I played the demo to death, but as soon as the game arrived barely anyone has played it. I've played a fair way through the single player, but once we got our net connection we played HL mods rather than UT. I'll get around to playing it more online soon enough I reckon, but I've not been too impressed with it online so far. [addsig]

I'm not a big fan of the UT series, so I haven't played any but the demo of UT2003. I just don't like the style ... hard to explain, but , for example, TFC breathes out more ... class

Just finished some games of "Bombing Run" with a friend - the rest were bots sadly, but it's good fun thinking of cunning ways to sneak your way past the defence

Absolutely awesome game.

Ya The game is good, a nice improvement on 2003, but like 2003 I thought the CTF and Bombing run maps were too big, making it hard for one to get from point A to point B was anoying. But other than that the game was great, its my favorite right now (until Doom 3 come out). [addsig]

I 'liked' the other Unreal games but I wasn't huge on them since DM isn't really my thing. However, the new Onslaught mode is the closest thing I've found to TFC-quality addictiveness in quite a while. There's just something about a game that has a good mix of teamplay and strategy and action that gets me hooked.

tbh, I haven't played anything other than Onslaught and Assault in UT2k4. Don't judge it till you've played some Onslaught .

I've played it a bit ... the demo doesn't really do the game justice, I found the demo to be rediculous, but the actual game (for some odd reason) is pretty good.

I'm just waiting for Red Orchestra Mod 2.0 [addsig]

I just picked up my DVD version of the game two days ago, and thankfully Best Buy still honored the raincheck I got on the Special Edition even though the product had a different name.

To be honest I haven't played it much due to school and Lineage II. School's got me busy finishing our level map for our game and Lineage II just has me addicted.

But next month I'll be going through the VTM's and learning UScript and other such fun stuff.

son bought game while i was out this run.. the 5.2 gig install is impressive to say the least.

yeah, he got the DVD version, as it seemed silly to buy the 5 cd one.

the game, runs smooth as silk on my PC, no better, or worse it seems than the others, but truth be told i have not loaded any previous unreal game on my new 2.6 machine.

considering that unreal has always run better than most all other 1st person shooters, its not surprising.

my only complaint.. not enuff new weapons, and the old ones are just that, old.

i have only view the game over his shoulder, but i am very impressed with the maps, from an editing standpoint that is.. some are so intricate, it defies words, most definitely a "Must see to believe" thing.

/me longs for HL2 all the more now

isn't it 5.5 gigs once installed, and the cd version 6 cds?

It's not silly if you don't have a DVD drive (like me). [addsig]
