yesterday my wife receives notice, her email account has been upgraded.. she asks me "How big is 2 GB?" I tell her "to big for email, its gotta be a typo"

i check her account and this is what we see..

look in the top right side..

Upgrading your e-mail takes 2 gigs? They must have revamped the interfaced and changed the strange noises you hear when you log, changed the coding, put pop up blockers in, added ambient sound fxs, and ...

How the hell can you make an email up grade take two gigs!? That's generally obsesive for a UT game...

25 unread messages!?!? That's it?~!

You should check my moms inbox... she has so many unread messages, that the unread messages counter... stopped counting

Pretty good actually. Paid Yahoo! users get a 2GB account, free users get a 100MB account. I like the whole concept

it means silly ass, that the 25 unread messages, don't even add up to 0% of 2 gigs of space.

you can set outlook to break apart large files and sent the parts as individual e-mails.

2gigs isn't bad at all. if you find your short on hd space, you could always mail some stuff to yourself and store it in your in-box

Get GSplit or split files with WinZIP.

100mbs for free users of Yahoo! What? lol Maybe Ima switch. Beats hotmails 2mb limit.

Google have sent out invites and gotten a lot of publicity already. I suppose it's more of a pre-emptive move though.

New google service, called Gmail, would provide 1 gb of storage, but would "add" messages to your e-mails.

It seems like they add in the forwarded message and replies, looks better then most mail systems.

Secondly, yahoo and hotmail add crap at the end of your emails already (which are annoying as hell, especially getting mail from one of those addresses on your phone) [addsig]

Well to be fair I've had the same account for years so it's probably on a s**tload of lists. I stopped using it for anything important as I used to get about 200 spam a day in my inbox and s**tloads more in my bulk folder. I noticed I'm getting less nowadays now that they've copped onto the way they were getting around the filters.

stop acknowledging emails, and the eventually stop coming.

i used to get 25 emails a day that promised me a dick like a horse in a week or some nonsense like that.. i have not received any spam email in almost 6 months now..

for a while there, i was getting suspicious as to my wife putting my name on some penis enlargement listings she either was not doing it, found someone else with an adequately sized member, or finally established that mine was doing fine.

in any event, the emails have ended.

My Yahoo e-mail does not append anything to my messages. Does this only apply if you use their web interface?
