Goddammit. Looks like the double-post protection doesn't work with quick reply.

People who have written reviews of gmail seem to like it. One guy said that personal communications emails didn't get any adverts, and of the messages that did, all the links given seemed relevenat and actually useful to the topic being discussed.

I will definately give it a go. I mean it's free, so if it turns out to be not very good, who cares? It's like all these 'gmail will invade my privacy' people - you have to sign up to use the free service of your own free will! How can you do this, then moan about what you get?

They're probably Americans. We whine like little bitches all the time. [addsig]

1st off, there is a distinct difference between "moaning" and "whining"

2ndly, it has been my considerable experience that big bitches do both more often

Microsoft is expected to follow suit in this trend very soon. Personally I use hotmail solely for MSN which I find the best IM program for my needs. My friend got some Gmail invite from a random spanish guy, so as soon as he can invite someone, I'm in. [addsig]

You have to either be the descendant of a member, or save the life of a member to be accepted. [addsig]

I've got one of these g-mail accounts (I use blogger regularly, who are owned by Google, so I got a beta offer) and they're damned good actually. The concept is that you never have to delete an e-mail and can use the Google search engine to find any e-mail. Its a great system actually and the interface is nice. When it does go public I would recommend it.
