A Jetpack with a 600 mile range that was cheap to run

And a few rockets to blow up caravans, grrrr !

Then everyone gets one, and you have to wait in lines 200 feet above the ground... =|

No, Mountain bike. Loads of people have those pedals, they all come from the same factory but are sld under about a thousand different names I think you pay somrthing like ?25 for them under the name 'V8', but I got mine for ?12 under some name I had never heard of - lasted years of punishment!

something like this would be cool. i've always fancied a wee shot of one of these, but......, meh.

not quite a jetpack, but cheap to run. and at 25mph max, i wouldn't really want a range of 600 miles.

I just like hoofing it places to be honest, or getting there by my own power otherwise (biking (which I rarely do), rollerblading, whatever). [addsig]

Actually, my ideal method of transport is, one which won't get me killed,

'our cars are the safest on the road' if no one else is on them!

ahh. I got them for $16.50 (USD) online, so I guess I got a pretty good deal. They are real nice too (grip your feet), but when I fall and they hit my shins... ouch! [addsig]

Hah, I definately know that feeling! One time when it happened, the pedal span round, hit my chin, but I was falling at the same time, so it gouged a little trench out of my chin, could see bone

I'm surprised you don't use toeclips on your mtn bike. I have them on my bike and really like them. You can use the upstroke for power as well as the downstroke, and whatnot. I tried using them on my muni of course, but after a few falls I got the feeling that toe clips + unicycle = a fast way to needing reconstructive face surgery (-:

Oh, and all of you who think unicycling is a wuss sport for clowns and circuses need to watch this:

Wow, awsome stuff on that movie.

I would use toe straps if I was a hardcore XC rider, but when you are trying to hop about on walls and things, toe clips lead you to the same 'reconstructive face surgery' area that they do with a unicycle
