| On that topic, do any of you guys have a "monsoon" season in your country? |
actually no, not in the US anyways..
we have all the climates you can imagine by default though..
the terrain is a major deciding factor in weather.. with elevation and the jet stream being determining factors.
you would have to imagine how the US is setup, from west, to east..
moisture comes in predominately from the west, via washington/oregon (north), and baja california/texas (south) and everything proceeds east from those two points.
the rockies block the lions share of the moisture from reaching the midwest.. but anything coming in from texas usually dumps a lot from midwest eastward.
as for monsoons.. nope, but oregon/washington get a s**tload of rain because of said mountains.
arkansas gets most of its rainfall in the winter.
and that.. was your meteorological lesson for today

Were in the worst drought ever recorded at the moment most dams (main water supply) are below 40% capacity and the last 'worst ever recorded' one was in 1994 some parts out west of here have had little/no rain since 94
(the main farming region for crops) one problem with that
is basic fruit/veg/meat is starting to get pretty expensive. So send us
some rain plz! [addsig]
