actually no, not in the US anyways..

we have all the climates you can imagine by default though..

the terrain is a major deciding factor in weather.. with elevation and the jet stream being determining factors.

you would have to imagine how the US is setup, from west, to east..

moisture comes in predominately from the west, via washington/oregon (north), and baja california/texas (south) and everything proceeds east from those two points.

the rockies block the lions share of the moisture from reaching the midwest.. but anything coming in from texas usually dumps a lot from midwest eastward.

as for monsoons.. nope, but oregon/washington get a s**tload of rain because of said mountains.

arkansas gets most of its rainfall in the winter.

and that.. was your meteorological lesson for today

Well up far north of Aus they do but not where I'm at (south east coast)

I wish we would get some rain here (although i live on the coast it rains a little it needs to rain in the catchment area on the other side of the mountain range :/).
Were in the worst drought ever recorded at the moment most dams (main water supply) are below 40% capacity and the last 'worst ever recorded' one was in 1994 some parts out west of here have had little/no rain since 94 (the main farming region for crops) one problem with that is basic fruit/veg/meat is starting to get pretty expensive. So send us some rain plz!

Haha, Melbourne weather. Rain and 15-degree weather can - and will - occur in any season, but this is partially balanced by the three randomly placed 35-degree days during the other seasons. It's impossible to plan for any event, and don't you dare say the word "barbecue" outside on a fine sunny day. Wednesday is always rainy and cold.

Yes, real time is cool. Like when all the English people in chat rooms suddenly can't type at 6:00 EST. Which would mean it's around midnight in England, meaning the most likely explanations for their sudden lack of typing prowess (these would be people who can type, mind you) are:

1. They are tired.

OR

2. Many of them just got back from the pub.
