In other news, a stork/duck/swan animal (no idea what it is) was walking around on my lawn. I started taking some photos of it, then it wandered onto my neighbor's property. Poor thing. It'll most likely be run over by an SUV soon. From the look of its tail though, it looks semi-exotic. But then again I don't know anything about birds.

awww...cute lil thing it is.

I don't think it's a stork... Or if it is, it's some weird type/other species.

(stork from Google Images)
Looks more like a heron.

(heron from Google Images)

there are many kinds of herons and storks..
i have seen pics in google that look like each..
/me wonders, did people mix up the pics, or are the birds related genetically??
i am inclined to defer my opinion to heron.. more of the pics resemble CJ's

According to my guidebook, that appears to be a Great Egret... if anyone cares.
