You may or may not have noticed I haven't really been around for the past few days - i've sadly been spending my time in hospital after me and my friend were attacked in the city centre after our usual Friday night out (2 of us, 5 of them, nice odds  ) So, 1 broken cheekbone, several teeth and 3 metal plates grafted to my skull later, i'm out However, I wont be around as much because reading/using PC's etc is quite hard on the old eye, makes it all blurry after about 30 minutes

So all behave while i'm resting and recuperating, otherwise i'll sort y'all out when I get back

typical UK violence tbh, Something needs to be done. Too often its people getting attacked for things such as the music they listen to, At least in my experience.

That sound a little like what happened to me and my mate last weekend We were walking back to his house after turf-out time only to bump into a 10-strong gaggle of 'townies' (or whatever you want to call 'em - neanderthals fits quite well ). They started hurling abuse at us for looking different, calling us greasers, freaks and whatnot. Being sensible and realising that 2 vs. 10 wasn't really a fair fight, we walked down to the bottom end of town to avoid them (cowardly yes...sensible, definitely).

Unfortunately they were waiting for us at the other end They proceeded to start their pounding (their excuse was that because we had turned our backs on them and walked away, we deserved a royal beating....go figure!).

Anyway, the police pulled up just in time. Never really been a fan of the police until now, but they were really helpful and stayed around until the apemen had run off. They even had a chat with us. It's a shame not a lot more can be done - i'd love for them to have all been arrested and taken down to the station.

I don't understand the mentallity behind UK pub culture to be honest. How is it only a good night out if you manage to beat up someone who can't fight back?!
