Rumor has it that HL2 should have gone Gold on Sept 13...thats days ago now and still no Gold...
There's speculation that the release date of Sept. 30 isn't going to see light of day.
I'm wondering if maybe the Steam screw-ups maybe have turned people's hearts away from HL2, and maybe thats why it hasn't gone Gold yet.
What you guys think?

Huh? No, no, the term "going gold" refers to a game's Gold master CD (usually gold, at least) being created and sent off for duplication. From there it's a couple weeks before the first units hit stores. |

lol yes the term "going gold" in the game industry simply means that the product in question is complete and ready for shipping, as like beta means its a pre-release of some or all of the games quality.
anyways, when da heck is this damn game comin out, i hear christmas season, i hear sometime in september, when???

Yeah, "Gone Gold" means no more coding or content changes will be done. Lots of mods have used the term, such as Natural Selection.
As for music, I think Brasso's got the right numbers.

sad,? sad is, fallout tactics wasn't even as good as fallout 1, let alone fallout 2...
when i heard that a new fallout was on the way, i was almost as excited as hearing about HL2, or duke 4... but tactics royally blew chunks... 
reminds me of the flop civ 3 turned out to be...

I happened to enjoy tactics...but still nowhere near X-com. That has to be my classic and favoured strategy.

i notice, you didn't disagree tho 
if someone were to discover tactics first.. then yeah it was a very cool game..
but if you bought the games as they were released, then tactics blows chunks..
anyways, its all opinions and preferences i reckon
