Bullet For My Valentine - The Poison. If you like modern metal this is
ace imo, it gives Trivium a run for their money
" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif"> I really like how it
starts with a relatively layed back opening instrumental then the 2nd
track opens to Matt screaming his guts out.
Hello there.

They had the whole thing up to listen to on purevolume (or something
like that) for a week, but personally I wasn't too impressed.
Definately less rocky than usual, and less rappy, so more of the whole
chilled out samba/reggae style mixings. Enjoyable, and I'll buy it
sometime (always out of stock at play.com, grrr), but I'm not in a huge
rush. I've no doubt it will grow on me once I get it - they always do

DARE is the best Gorillaz song.

oh my god Biological Component... I agree! "It's... Dare....!"
I started listening to it over and over again this weekend. Strange that you posted that just now.

Meh, got some CDs at the library
Death In Vegas - The Contino Sessions: Started off good, went to crap prertty quickly.
Mary Lou Lord - Baby Blues: Good folksy-country stuff.
The Apples in Stereo - The Velocity Of Sound: Eww, just eww.
Vic Chesnutt - Drunk: He has to have some of the craziest non-crazy lyrics I've ever heard.
Zwan - Mary Star Of The Sea (I think is right...) : Billy Corgan and some love songs, strange combination but I like it.

Well, I've been listening a lot to "Don't Tread on Me" by 311, and I
really like it. I'm digging the chilled out style of this one, and
there is a whole lot of ska influence that is going down well with me
" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif"> The only real rock song on the album is "It's Getting OK Now", which
I absolutely adore for some reason. What makes it particularly odd that
I like it so much, is that its sung entirely by SA Martinez, who is
normally their annoying (but loveably) rap guy. He should stick to the
singing if you ask me

I mentioned picking up the new Fall Out Boy album a few pages back, but
I just wanted to put in a plug for it. I've been listening to it
over and over. It's really short for an album, maybe 30 minutes
total (maybe less?) but its good if you like the poppy alternative
stuff.
Aside from the single "Sugar We're Going Down" ... I'd recommend checking out "XO". It's really good.

Man, I'm getting into this band caleld Uzeb. They've got Alain
Cairon (superb bassist) with them. Try and get ahold of some of
their stuff, simply great musicianship.

I've been listening to Deltron 3030 recently, but they only have one
album I know of. Its underground hip-hop, and theres nothing about
killin/robbin fools or slappin hoes, and no cash money money. Its
actually like nothing else I've heard, Del The Funkee Homosapien
basically tells stories of the group's experiences in the year 3030 as
the sole survivors of earth. Slick beats, cool samples, and good
lyrics. Its not the kind of stuff I usually listen to though. I usually
listen to Led Zeppelin, Blind Melon, and a whole bunch of other stuff.
