He recorded it after he left the Chili Peppers and was on 24-hour heroin binges.... and it shows. This is possible the trippiest music I've ever heard in my life. Randomly there's just like screechy stuff and stuff and like.... yeah.
Good music though.

Good album! Some of their lyrics are really weird though.

And is that Elisha Cuthbert in the video "We Will Become Silhouettes"? What the hell is she doing in there?

There are some great tracks on the album (Rooftops, Can't catch tommorow, Everybody's screaming). I'll need to listen to it some more before I can get a better opinion, though at the moment I see it as having a good start, middle, though it goes a bit to 'soppy' at the end for my liking.

Yes, Hawksley is certifiably the man, though I don't really like that song. I haven't really listened to his debut much, though. MEH.
Got The Sound The Hare Heard, essentially a Kill Rock Stars compilation. I had only even heard of 1/3 of the artists before getting it but mostly it's really great if you're into the mellow stuff... which 0.03% of you are... hrm.

Because of course you have listened to ALL trance and techno songs ever made...
BT's origional version is better than the Tiesto remix.

uhm ??!!
are you serious? those are all decent songs, but from the mainstream / dated side of trance. how many producers you listened to to jump to that conclusion?
There are so many that you might not have heard yet.
only to name a few examples:
Mike Foyle vs Signalrunners - Love Theme Dusk (Mike's Broken Record Mix)
Above & Beyond - No One on Earth (Gabriel & Dresden remix)
Motorcycle - As the Rush Comes (Gabriel & Dresden Sweeping Strings remix)
Way out West - Killa (Orkidea remix)
hampshire and nysse ft nikita - eternal voices (airwaves revenge mix)
Ernesto vs. Bastian - Dark Side Of The Moon (Marc Van Linden Remix)
George Hales - Isolation (Soliquid Remix)
Aria - Dido (Armin Van Buuren`s Universal Religion Mix)
Signum - Second Wave (also check out the mash-up with delirium - silence)
GTR - Mistral
Push - Universal Nation
Evanescence - Hello (Gabriel & Dresden remix)
Basic Dawn - Pure Thrust (Nu-NRG remix)
Ferry Corsten - Star Traveller (Hydroid Remix)
and those aren't even the most recent ones. i could go on forever ![]()
of your list i personally only find Paul Oakenfold - Southern Sun worth mentioning, and only in the Tiesto remix.
didn't know you were exploring trance Spartan
I'm a huge addict and i'm even into producing together with a m8. Check out our first production that we're proud of (it also got played on di.fm), and let me know what you think
. We also organised a trance party this year, called affexion.
(EDIT: for those of you who have never heard (good) trance, i uploaded a small sample (693kb), cut out of a recent liveset)

Lost prophets are tools of the music trade, changing with the era like a man takes a s**t. Ever since they emo-ized they have been lame, they were a better Nu metal band.
As for recently listened...
Download festival 2006, loads of bands.
Tool - Sober
Dimmu Borgir - Puritanical Misanthropia, or whatever its called. (the album)
Cacophony - Speed Metal Symphony (for anyone who likes guitar solos, this is the staple diet of the 2 greatest guitarists of neoclassical music).
Billy Talent
Arch Enemy - The most hardcore female singer you'll ever hear, and suprisingly hot! (saw em at Download aswell, along with Lacuna Coil, damn shes hot).
