Dunno how many people will see this buried in on the 7th page, but I gotta say the "New Map" feature on the front page of Snarkpit it such a great idea, but so flawed in implementation. The primary problem is thus: people add maps to their profile once they have taken to working on the map. At this point, the map is far from complete, although it is usually more than just an hour or two of fiddling. Basically, none of the newly added maps are worthwhile to view at their current state. I may see something I think looks good, but typically I refrain from commenting until there is a finished, or nearly finished, product available.
Suggestion: Maps added to a profile are not listed on the front page. Rather, there is a checkbox on the map page when you update it that designates "updated release" which a mapper will check when they have a full dl available. For a map that goes through multiple versions, they can recheck the box every time a substantial version goes online. While this may still be a tad confusing in the hands of an overzealous mapper, I still think a substantial improvement to the newly added map system will result, especially for mappers who use it only in conjunction with major release.
