*blows dust from old thread*
ok, someone gave me an old Packard Bell Legend 402cd..
i have looked up socket 5 mobo's, they can run at 75-133 mhz..
i have some spare socket 5 microprocessors.. it is currently running at 75, but i cannot seem to locate the jumpers to increase it to 133 (or actually to increase it to anything other than 75)
anyone have a site for really old mobo's i can look on?

Looks like the jumper you want is Jumper32 (CPU Multiplyer) [addsig]

i thank you whole heartedly.. this mobo, is the one i kept finding too.. its close but not exact, the only thing i can figure out is back then many boards that were similar were american versions and canadian versions, maybe this is a similar issue.. BUT this is the real mobo..
took a nights sleep to get my head around finding the mobo designation number.. these old boards are not as clearly marked as the newer ones..
thanx a million crono.. the comp now runs at a solid 133 .. not much, but a marked improovement over 75 ![]()

Unless the Oregon Post Office screws you over too TB.
I was suppose to get all these letters from someone in NJ, out of 8 I received one.
I go to the post office and go, "What the f**k!". They go, "Sorry ...". So, I kicked the teller in the face and robbed him, stole his car, and made love to his wife for reparations ...

No, No. but they are pretty bad aren't they? It takes a week for a letter to get from my parents church to their house, and they are less than a block apart!
UPS cost allot more, but at least then everything is tracked and if it goes missing, they eat the shipping costs even if it wasn't insured.

yesterday i was given an 866 mhz PIII microprocessor (370).. if anyone has an older motherboard lying around that could use it, gimme a holler.. yeah i know its old, but its one of the newest parts i have ATM.. no one wants to donate anything less than 5 years old..
no i am not talking about the pit, i mean i am also talking to people locally and they wont turn this stuff loose, they would rather it rot in their closets.. i am so damned tired of hearing "but i paid 1,200 bucks for that" ![]()

You should paint that up to look like an X-Box. I promise no one will ever know the difference. [/cheapshot] [addsig]
