how many people still map dod?

Hey how many people still map for dod? also how many do it on the steam server? just wondering because i was getting back into mapping and wanted to know if it was hard to map DoD in steam

Steam or not steam makes no difference. I think DoD is one of the hardest mods to map for. The scale (or at least POV) of the player is different form what it is in HLDM, and the realistic setting makes people more picky about architecture and such. Also, It's hard to make a map for DoD without having lots of rubble and destruction. That takes allot of time, and you may have to make several tries at it until it starts looking good.

I've made a couple of attemps at making a map for dod with no success. If I decided to make one now, it would probably be after dod source comes out when i finish it, so I'm waiting for dod source before I map again.
