ok, with the *taboo* editor, i had access to several mesh's, including some prime looking pipes and other everyday items like toolboxes, computers and pallets..

where are these located in the new hammer? i cannot seem to locate them.

/me is beginning to believe i am paying penance for griping about HL2DM :/

The full SDK has yet to be released. And Spartan, the "taboo" editor is the one that came with the HL2 leak.

I think after the leak valve changed EVERYTHING! If anyone remembers that e3 2003 video, there was nothing in that video THAT I SAW that was in the final release of HL2. After the leak I think valve changed all their content, including the models that you speak of, after the "Big Leak".

You can try importing it to the official HL2 content now, or you could wait till the official HL2 sdk comes out. Nedless to say I wouldnt suggest it, as the models you have are Taboo in valves eyes, and shouldnt be in any new map you want to make. Besides those models that you speak of might not be up to the coding level that HL2 is at (I dont know how to model but I can immagine that something might go wrong).

Use at your own risk is what im trying to say...

What're you talking about Omega? There is plenty of things leftover from the E3 demonstrations. Besides, most of those maps were DEMONSTRATIONS - IE: Showing off the power of the Source engine and not meant for the retail version. The coast levels, canal levels (some anyway), lab levels, city 17 levels, etc; were all left in (with changes and cuts I agree).

Also, correct me if I am wrong - but didn't the *taboo* editor have a realtime lighting feature that could be enabled through the 3D window?

From the E3 2003 demo not the 2004 one. There were plenty of sruff from the 2004 video in the game than the 2003 video.

They showed demos at E3 2003 or Ravenholm and Coast, levels that are in Half-Life 2. Sure, they have been changed since then, but you still know that it was the level you saw demonstrated.
