tis supposed to use the HL2 engine.. perhaps it can contribute to some quality maps.

took 3 days to get but he seems to like the game. to me it seems sluggish, like it takes a bit more power to run than HL2 does.. plus its not my genre of choice so i doubt i'll play it.
2.2 gig downloads are not something i wanna do often either.

Leave it to Orph to complain that warez'ed games should be easier to download ![]()
I've seen a lot of demos and it looked cool. I'll probably get it in a couple months since HL2 is keeping me busy now anyway.
hold up a second poop chute. i download 100's of gigs a year, you think i'm gonna complain about size?
all i said was, dedicating so much time/bandwidth takes away from my more important download choices.. this was my son's idea. i did mention that its not my choice of genre though, so i suppose that could be a complaint of a sort but by no means size in or of itself.
and 3 days on a 2.2 gig download is pretty snazzy considering.
so you just roll those baby blues at someone else big guy

The game is pretty cool so far - though it doesn't feel like its using the Source engine at all - maybe it's just me but it feels more like the Quake II engine. It has that same chunkiness about it - and the same lame shiny surfaces that Soldier Of Fortune had
Also, the performance of the game is shocking - any of the outdoor areas slow my computer down badly, while indoors it's as smooth as silk.
The consistency of level design seems off too - some parts are really well done, while others feel a little cobbled together.
Like I said though, the game plays well enough, just a shame the graphics couldn't match up.

i even heard that this game was put on hold until after HL2's release.
