Appearantly, the new ZHLT build is going to be released. You can
download the b?ta now. It should do a faster RAD and fix some problems
XP-Cagey's and Merl's tools had.

the ZHLT 3.0 beta isnt really new, i v been using it a few months now. they were good, it seemed like bsp was making a better portalstructure. but seemed to use up too much ram for my system. bsp and rad would crash, and so i replaced bsp, vis and rad with cagey's p15 ones. i only used the csg of zhlt3b. however if you have a not too complex map or enough ram you should be fine with them ![]()
edit : i used beta2, seems the latest one is beta4, maybe this fixes the probs mentioned above

No, Jezpuh. Zoners tools are made by Zoner - Sean 'Zoner' Cavanuagh. Once worked for Gearbox (might still do?) as well.

The newer versions of ZHLT aren't made by zoner, but by community members.

I know, I didnt imply otherwise.
Well, it's still his baby at heart - just like Linux is torvalds.
Linux is an amalgmation of Linux and Unix. Linus, is derived from Linus Torvalds - the guy who created the original linux kernel.
To say something is someones baby means they created it - ie Linux is Torvalds baby, Linus Torvalds. Linux is now developed by the community mostly. Just as ZHLT were made by Zoner, but are now also developed by the wider community - ZHLT are still Zoner's baby.
So your point was what, exactly?

You lot are far too pedantic for your own good
And it's minix, btw - the "ux" comes from Unix and Linus.

It's quite obvious that something being managed with a completly new person could be 'worse' so to speak. And as it appears you're familiar with his "work". [addsig]
