I thought they were just taking what they already made (like two years ago) and porting it to source with some tweaks. I do know they're fully developing TF2. It'll be stand alone (last I heard) with it's own SP and MP. Which will justify the $50 price tag. (This what I've heard and observed over the last few months) [addsig]

Wolfenstein Enemy Territory was originally designed by Splash Damage as an add-on for RtCW. It was 'cancelled' and then released publicly as a stand-alone MP game that has become one of the most popular online. A comparable MP mode for HL2 would be rebels/freedom fighters vs. Combine on the streets of City 17, in the coastal regions, and anywhere else imaginable in the HL2 universe. Though if TF2 were done this way, it would seem better suited to an expansion than a retail product. *shrug* [addsig]

TFC was s**t before, it will be s**t again, i am not keen on waiting for HL2DM just because of it.
also, no updates on CS either, they already treated everyone to CS/S, its time for some quality HLDM now.. I want the FULL SDK, or whatever it will take to get a valve sanctioned DM map made.
Amen, I hated TFC and I already HAVE all the CS:S stuff i need right now. I have a feeling I am really going to get let down.

truth be told, i have completely lost interest at this point. i am still exactly where i was when i started, i just met alyx. between all these Xmas comps and real life things, i haven't had any time to drum up a lot of interest.
perhaps after the holidays.
hell, after i installed the editor, i didn't even set it up yet.
finding out that it shipped with no DM took all the wind out of my sails.
