How can I activate the console in HL2?!

I pressed the "?" above the "Tab" botton but the console doesn't apeare... Must I activate it?! [addsig]

Go into your games list, right click and go to the run properties. Add '-console' and the key to press will be ~.

If that doesn't work, stick your penis into the bear cage at the zoo.

ARGH!!

You do it through ingame options, go to keyboard, advanced settings, click on the box... or you can do it the exact same way it was done with the original HL, which is adding -console to the shortcut.

I wouldn't recommend that strictly because the bars on the cage might be too cold...
